Shetland Arts presents FRAGMENTED. Performed by Islesburgh Drama Group, written, directed and produced by Stephenie Pagulayan of ALICE Theatre Project, in partnership with Shetland Women’s Aid and Shetland Rape Crisis.
‘Fragmented' is a one act play exploring the impact and trauma of childhood sexual abuse in adult life. It explores how an adult survivor, ‘Evelyn’, copes with her conflicting inner identity and outer persona as she comes to terms with what happened to her as a child.
The play will run until around 8.30pm, followed by an interval and then a Q&A session with Stephenie Pagulayan and representatives from:
- Shetland public protection (Shetland Islands Council)
- Procurator Fiscal’s office
- Shetland Women's Aid
- Shetland Rape Crisis
Fragmented has been supported by Shetland Arts, Shetland Women's Aid, Shetland Rape Crisis, ALICE Theatre Project and Islesburgh Drama Group as part of the United Nations 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. Tickets are free but donations welcomed towards the work of Shetland Women's Aid and Shetland Rape Crisis.
PLEASE NOTE: Recommended for ages 13+, ‘Fragmented’ includes potentially upsetting themes, including suicide and references to child sexual abuse.
Production includes some flashing and strobe lights.
