EVEN BETTER is an informal online information session and workshop delivered by Neuk Collective, a network that brings together, supports, and advocates for neurodivergent artists in Scotland. It's part of EVEN HERE, EVEN NOW, a programme of activity to support and advocate for island-based artists / creatives being delivered across Shetland, Orkney and the Western Isles.

The workshop will focus on Access Riders* as a tool to support your creative practice. It's for anyone, not just people who identify as having a disability or access needs.

*What is an Access Rider and how might it help me?

An access rider is a document that outlines any access needs you may have and/or how you can be supported to do your best work. Many places like to encourage everyone to complete an access rider, such as cultural organisations, it's not just something that's associated with those who have a disability or are neurodivergent. An access rider can change over time or over time or from project to project and can be shared with funders and other people and organisations you might work with. Many funders now include additional funding for personal access costs.

Who is this event for?

This event is open to artists / creatives based in or from Shetland, Orkney and the Western Isles.

The introduction and information section are open to arts organisers also located in Shetland, Orkney and the Western Isles.
