Shetland Youth Theatre Company returns to explore Acting and Performing Theory in practice! Sessions are delivered online through Zoom on 23 September, 30 September and 7 October, 5.30 - 6.45pm.  

Online sessions are open to all who have an interest in theatre, drama and performing arts aged between 12-19 years. Please ensure you have access to zoom and are comfortable using it.
These are fun and energetic, online sessions focussing on drama technique from a range of practitioners as well as a creative approach to devising and script writing. 
Sessions will look at:

Subtext - What is it? Why is it important? Following the clues to discover and use subtext within a written piece of work. 

The Given Circumstances - Exploring how we map out a production through text and use it to develop character, narrative and production design.  

Characterisation - Learning how a company can approach collaborative characterisation techniques. 

Roles and Responsibilities - Exploring the unique and different perspectives of different people who work in Theatre.
