Young people aged between 13 and 18, with or without music knowledge or experience, are invited to join Sound Hub, a new series of creative music workshops delivered by Renzo Spiteri (multi-percussion player, arts collaborator, improviser, composer, multi-media artist) alongside Jenny Sturgeon (singer-songwriter, composer, arts collaborator).

Through a sharing and collaborative environment, workshop participants will be part of a music-making creative collective, learning melodies and polyrhythmic percussive beats to create and record a piece of music that they will be able to reflect on after the workshop.

Participation is free but enrolment is required as each workshop is limited to ten places. Instruments for use during the workshops will be provided, but participants are also welcome to bring their own. Sound Hub is supported by Shetland Arts as part of the Youth Arts initiative.

Each workshop is a standalone event, but participants are free to join more than one workshop.

Please note that the session on 30 January is in Mareel.
