Wed 27 Oct 2021, 6.00pm - 8.00pm

Do you want to learn how to create, record and mix your own music or audio? 11-18 year olds living in Shetland and interested in music and sound technology are invited to connect via SoundLab, a new, FREE programme of online workshops. Over 25 weeks, teacher David Boyter will guide you through the process of music and sound creation utilising cloud-based music production suite BandLab!

Workshops will be delivered online, and you will be able to use your new skills in a solo or collaborative project of your own choice. You might decide to record your own instrument, programme beats and samples, create a podcast, story or interview, or even explore field recording.

It’s all about exploring your own creativity! With ongoing help and support, no previous experience is required, just enthusiasm and regular access to a smartphone, tablet or computer. The free cloud-based software will also allow you to keep on creating as part of the wider BandLab community after the project ends.
