To coincide with the opening in Lerwick of Sixteen, an exhibition of photographic portraits of 16-year-olds across the UK, internationally acclaimed photographer Craig Easton will deliver this creative workshop, providing an introduction to portrait photography and an understanding of effective approaches and techniques in the medium.

In this lab you will:

  • Have an introduction to Craig’s work and that of other portrait photographers
  • Explore ideas of composition, lighting and location in portrait photography
  • Create a series of your own digital portraits under Craig’s tutelage
  • View and critique your work as a group

No prior experience is necessary. There is an advisory lower age limit of 16 for this lab.

Please bring your own stills camera, this can be anything from phone to SLR to plate camera…

The session will run from 10am - 1pm including a short break.
