Developing narratives for stage and film.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Structure a short play/film
  • Develop plot, character and themes
  • Write dialogue and narration/voice/over
  • Accept and deliver feedback

The first half of the course will introduce the core concepts of writing for performance including structure, plot, character, dialogue, dramatic tension and thematic development.

In the 7 week break, participants work on their own writing and present it to the group in the second half of the course. The group gives feedback and discussion on all the work allowing participants to rewrite and develop a script to the second draft.
