A charming and atmospheric coming of age comedy drama, written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson (Boogie Nights, There Will Be Blood).
A precocious teen and a discontented young woman find friendship and romance as they scheme their way through the San Fernando Valley in 1973. The film marks the big-screen debuts of its two lead performers, musician Alana Haim and Cooper Hoffmann (son of the late actor, Philip Seymour Hoffman), alongside Bradley Cooper, Tom Waits and Sean Penn.
