A captivating and very personal film by director Nick Broomfield, telling the beautiful yet tragic story of Leonard Cohen and his Norwegian muse Marianne Ihlen.
In the 1960s, when Leonard was a burgeoning novelist and poet, he met young Norwegian Marianne on the Greek island of Hydra. They fell in love and she became his muse, inspiring songs such as So Long, Marianne and Bird on the Wire. In time, their relationship fractured and they drifted apart, but, as the years passed and they grew older, the bond between them remained.
Running time: 2h02, including ads and trailers.
