Various directors, UK 2018-19, 2h, Recommended cert PG

Always one of the most popular events at the festival, this is the annual celebration of local cinematic creativity.

Films of no longer than four minutes are invited from Shetlanders of all ages and abilities, who show what they can do if they get their hands on a camera – and the results are amazing. From first time film-makers to students in further and higher education, talented amateurs and polished professionals, we will see films in all kinds of genres: drama, documentary, live action and animation.

Once again the audience will be invited to vote for their favourite film, and Shetland ForWirds have kindly offered prizes for the most effective use of dialect in a Home Made film. Plus, while the votes are being counted, we have a bonus screening of Bad Mother, the debut short by Shetland actor and now director Marnie Baxter!

Get your tickets early and come along to show your support for local talent – a good time is guaranteed!

Please note: the audience vote and awards will take place at the Saturday screening only.

During Screenplay, films will begin no later than five minutes after the advertised time – please make sure you arrive in plenty of time to take your seat.
