This captivating drama, set in the Outer Hebrides on the eve of the First World War, won the Audience Award at last year's Edinburgh International Film Festival.

Kirsty Mcleod, coming of age in a small island community, dreams of the wider world and a life away from the harsh land and strict religion of her island home. But then tragedy strikes, once at a village party and again when her boyfriend is sent to war.
