Three of Shetland’s finest musical acts are taking to the road! Fresh from recording new music at the studio in Mareel, Haltadans, Herkja and Freda Leask are ready to bring gigs straight to your doorstep.
Having played for Hogmanay 2018, Haltadans seek to build upon Shetland’s rich tradition of fiddle tunes, whist finding room for improvisation. Debuting with an outstanding gig at Shetland Folk Festival in 2018, Herkja combine stunning harmonies with fiddle, accordion, piano and harmonium. Rounding up the bill is singer/songwriter Freda Leask, who recently played at Shetland Wool Week and has been recording new work produced by Orkney artiste Kris Drever.
