2pm Forget Me Notes – 2.15pm
Forget Me Notes consist of talented young fiddlers Kristie Williamson, Ellie Nicholson and Jayden Moore. Between them they have won an impressive array of trophies from Shetland’s annual Young Fiddler of the Year Competition.
2.20pm Kirmirren – 2.40pm
Previous winners of Shetland’s Got Talent, fiddlers Maisie Henderson, Ruby Duncan, Yelena Anderson and Gracie Gowans-Little are another talented young band with a large haul of awards and trophies. Yelena is the current Shetland Young Fiddler of the Year!
2.40pm 4AI – 2.50pm
This year’s winner of Shetland’s Got Talent singer Amber Thomson is joined by Daisy Anderson and Niamh Leslie. You can expect lovely harmonies from these lasses that are all students on the Sound Engineering Vocational Pathway here at Mareel.
2.50pm Spence and Slater – 3.05pm
A first time collaboration between talented local fiddler George Spence (returning from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland) and Liam Slater (of Da Langstrings) on guitar accompaniment.
3.05pm High Level Hot Club – 3.30pm
Regular performers at this monthly event, this talented young string band features the gorgeous vocals of Lulu Johnson (also guitar), Daisy Anderson and Artur Vavilov (also guitar) and Tabitha Johnson on double bass.
3.30pm Skelburn – 4pm
This lively Vidlin based four-piece band contains a wealth of talent across a variety of instruments. With brothers Fraser and Darren Jamieson (guitar and fiddle) are banjo player Paul Hunter and Mandolinist Nathan Grains.
